Under the cringe-worthy byline of “Fighting Talk From The People’s President” we get a huge front page photo of Obama in his war face with ex-Fed chairman Paul Volcker sitting behind him [paper edition, the online link has a different photo from the same press conference]. Apparently Obama is going to take on those Wall Street fat cats, listen to him roar:  “When banks benefit from the safety net that taxpayers provide, which includes lower cost capital, it is not appropriate for them to turn around and use that cheap money to trade for profit,” the President said.

Um, who exactly gave them that safety net? Who eviscerated attempts to restrict their uses of it? Who just reappointed Fed chairman Ben Bernanke despite his scandalous mishandling of the housing bubble, his syphoning off of hundreds of billions of taxpayers money into Wall Street, and his constant attempts to render all Fed actions secret?

Yes, you. You fucking clown.

So why is he suddenly getting tough on the banks? Because he has gloriously fucked up the US economy with his “stimulus” package, his expansion of government jobs for useless paper-shuffling women, his refusal to allow badly mismanaged companies to go bust, his theft of the US motor industry on the taxpayers dime, his total sell-out of the US to it’s foreign rivals, and last but not least his gloriously socialist healthcare fuck-up that steals money from hardworking healthy Americans to hand it over to his client state of health workers, insurance companies, and layabouts.

The American public has quickly released what an incompetent fraud this huckster is and don’t like it. So they booted the Democrats out of Ted Kennedy’s [may he rot in hell] seat and took away Obama’s filibuster-proof majority. He has finally realised that if he wants to run America, he has to listen to the American people. And not just the 30% of so of moochers and looters that fill his campaign coffers. So he decides to pass his own version of Glass-Steagal.

What’s that you say? Well he wants to separate investment banking operations from commerical deposit taking and thus protect the banking infrastructure of savings and settlements from turbulence in the speculative markets. Good idea in itself. There’s only a few problems with that.

1) It wouldn’t have done anything to stop the financial crisis. The primary cause was securitisation – commericial banks would make shitty loans, packages them up, then have Wall Street flog them to suckers hedge funds, pension plans and sovereign wealth funds. You can still securitise under Glass-Steagall.

2) So long as the Fed prints money with wild abandon to follow it’s easy credit utopia, the markets will underprice risk and thus capital will be badly misallocated until the inevitable collapse. The Fed got away with this for ten years because the retarded Chinese communists, Arab terrorists and Japanese inflationists kept hoovering up all that government debt to push their exports. That ship has sailed.

I’d go on, but what also interests me is why Volcker? Obama has had him on the payroll for over a year. Volcker is the only Feb chairman of the past fifty years who was not a blithering idiot. He did tame the inflation menace of the late 1970s – although I’d argue that was a lucky accident that the conclusions of his Monetarist claptrap happened to coincide with reality for that short period. He is the only Establishment guy with credibility as being tough on Wall Street. Tough relative to his peers, that is.

So why haven’t we heard from Volcker in the prior twelve months? Oh, that’s because two people have been actively marginalising him the whole time so they can push their own Wall Street-friendly policies through. Tim Geithner, Larry Summers – I’m looking at you. And which blithering idiot handed the wolves his keys to the hen house?

Obama, you fucking cretin, that idiot was you.

The political winds have changed and now Timmy boy is disgraced and a likely scapegoat for all the fraud and corruption that went on under his watch. Larry will probably slink away unharmed, just like he did after messing up under Clinton. So that leaves Volcker.

Why is it that white straight men invent everything? Allow me to explain. In the state of nature men are polygynous and women are hypergamous. In English, that means that women all seek to copulate with the highest status men whoever that happens to be (and it changes over time in any given group) while ignoring all the others. These men, about 10% of the male population, are wading knee deep in fanny. The remaining 90% are frozen out and very unhappy about it. The group treats them as dispensible. Hence such savage societies have extremely high violence, murder and warfare as the dispensible men compete amongst each other for fanny and are sent to battle other tribes.

Unique to human history, Western Europe adopted an alternative social structure called monogamy. This placed strict limitations on the sexuality of alpha males and their female concubines with the result that more or less every male in society was able to pair off with one female. The beauty of this system is the heretofore un-utilised surplus productive capacity of men was put to work as they were now invested in society and able to pass on a genetic legacy. Violence went right down. Monogamy formed the bedrock of Western Civilisation as we massively out-produced everyone else. Those “beta” traits of logic, persistence through repeated failure until the goal is reaches, long time-orientation, fixation on details – they were now rewarded by society and led to positive outcomes as diverse as Socrates’ dialogues, Michaelangelo’s David, and Newton’s physics. The savages retained their polygamy, and thus their mud huts and witchdoctors.

That it was white society that created monogamy is part-accident and part-inevitable. The HBD [Human Bio Diversity] project has shown that the further a race evolved from the equator, the higher the IQ. Whites have less of the “jungle” in them, as do slavs and east asians. Life was harder away from the lush bounty of the African savannah and Arabian fertile crescent and thus nature elminated the stupid.

That it’s men is obvious. Women are retarded children in adult bodies.  That it was straight men is because homosexuals are just female brains in male bodies, and thus incapable of high-level advances requiring the above-named beta traits.

The West would’ve reached the current peak of societal advance much much earlier if not for the fall of Rome and the subsequent 1,000 year descent into depravity. And why did Rome fall? Hmmmmm…… they inflated the currency, instituted no-fault divorce with alimony, mushroomed the public debt, and allowed women into positions of power. No parallels here. Nothing to see. Move along…..
